Academia Ya Hablas

I have studied at Academia Ya Hablas for nearly 2 months with my sister and my dad. Both my sister and I studied Spanish as a beginner and B2 level in English. Whereas, my dad has only taken Spanish classes with us. In these two months, we have learned a lot here, we have a significant progress in English and a quick and smooth start in Spanish. We are grateful for the teachers' tolerance and kindness, they have also been energetic and incentivized you to speak. Furthermore, the owner of the academy is undoubtedly attentive and hospitable. I was in Alicante for a week and booked an intensive course for five days. The academy itself is centrally located in a very nice building opposite a church and is only a few minutes' walk from the harbour, where I always enjoyed spending my lunch break in the sun. For part of the week I had lessons with Rawan who also runs the academy. Rawan is a lovely and attentive person. Despite my limited Spanish, she encouraged me to speak and told me a lot about life in Alicante. I also really liked the fact that the lessons weren't timetabled and Rawan always included what was happening around us or reacted immediately when she realised that I was interested in something. One day, for example, there was a Spanish wedding right outside the window which we watched together from the balcony. The other day we had breakfast together (I had to order in Spanish, of course ;-)) and ate a typical and very tasty tostada. Rawan also helped me a lot outside of class and asked her friends about dancing in the city, for example, as I wanted to go to a Bachata social. On another day, she brought me a Spanish cake when I had a lesson with my second teacher, Ana Maria. Ana Maria has Peruvian roots which was also very interesting, so that I not only got to know the Spanish, but also the Latin American side. Ana Maria also made a lot of effort to help me getting out the most of the class, even though she was new to Alicante and the academy herself. On the day of my departure, I was even allowed to leave my suitcase at the academy and Rawan spontaneously showed me a small shop where I could buy a souvenir despite being at work (unfortunately, I couldn't pack the delicious ice cream from the ice cream parlour a few metres away from the academy in my suitcase ;-)). In general, I never had the feeling that I was at a school, it felt more like I was spending time with friends. For anyone who wants to speak a lot and is looking for a school that sees you as an individual student and engages with you personally, I can highly recommend Rawan and her team. Flexible classes. I recommend 1:1 class to get improvement. Great value for money. Special thanks to Rawan, Martina, Ana, and Ines. I met 4 different teachers in a month and practiced listening & speaking in various way. Strongly recommended.

A principios de este año escolar, comenzamos con mi hijo de 13 años a aprender español en línea con la maestra Danna de la escuela Ya hablas. Estamos muy contentos con nuestras clases porque el contenido es interesante y el ritmo nos va bien. Se ha convertido en una actividad muy apreciada conjunta con mi hijo.
